By: A. Tkachenko n, H. Xie n, Y. Liu n, D. Coleman n, J. Ryan n, W. Glomm n, M. Shipton n, S. Franzen n, D. Feldheim n

MeSH headings : 3T3 Cells; Animals; Biological Transport, Active / physiology; Cell Line, Tumor; Cell Nucleus / drug effects; Cell Nucleus / metabolism; Gene Products, tat / chemistry; Gold / chemistry; Gold / pharmacokinetics; HeLa Cells; Humans; Macromolecular Substances; Mice; Nuclear Localization Signals / drug effects; Nuclear Localization Signals / metabolism; Peptides / chemistry; Peptides / pharmacokinetics; Protein Structure, Tertiary / physiology; Serum Albumin, Bovine / chemistry; Serum Albumin, Bovine / pharmacokinetics; Temperature; Transduction, Genetic
topics (OpenAlex): RNA Interference and Gene Delivery; Advanced biosensing and bioanalysis techniques; Immunotherapy and Immune Responses
TL;DR: Video-enhanced color differential interference contrast microscopy and transmission electron microscopy indicated that transport of nanoparticles into the cytoplasm and nucleus depends on peptide sequence and cell line, and cellular uptake of Tat PTD peptide-gold nanoparticle conjugates was temperature dependent, suggesting an endosomal pathway of uptake.
