1987 journal article

Light-regulated changes in DNase I hypersensitive sites in the rRNA genes of Pisum sativum

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 84(6), 1550–1554.

By: L. Kaufman n, J. Watson n & W. Thompson n

TL;DR: The rDNA chromatin of Pisum sativum plants grown with or without exposure to light is examined for the presence of DNase I hypersensitive sites and possible developmental changes in their distribution to find that several sites exist in both the coding and noncoding regions of rDNA repeating units.
