Bayesian Inference for Generalized Linear Model with Linear Inequality Constraints

Computational Statistics & Data Analysis, 166, 107335.

By: R. Ghosal* & S. Ghosh n

author keywords: Bayesian inference; Generalized linear model; Inequality constrained estimation
TL;DR: It is shown that a generalized truncated multivariate normal supported on a desired subspace can be used and facilitates the construction of a general purpose product slice sampling method to obtain (approximate) samples from corresponding posterior distribution, making the inferential method computationally efficient for a wide class of GLMs with an arbitrary set of linear inequality constraints. An international seroprevalence survey of the IgE sensitisation to the Dermatophagoides farinae house dust mite and two of its major allergens (Der f 2, Zen 1) in atopic dogs

Veterinary Dermatology, 33(2), 117.

By: C. Favrot*, T. Olivry n & T. Iwasaki*

MeSH headings : Allergens; Animals; Antigens, Dermatophagoides; Arthropod Proteins; Dermatitis, Atopic / immunology; Dermatitis, Atopic / veterinary; Dermatophagoides farinae; Dog Diseases / epidemiology; Dog Diseases / immunology; Dogs; Immunoglobulin E; Mites; Seroepidemiologic Studies
TL;DR: There was significant correlation between the IgE levels to these three allergens which was highest between Df and Zen 1, and lowest between Zen 1 and Der f 2, which indicates that IgE sensitisation to Df is geographically widespread. (via Semantic Scholar)

Transboundary and Emerging Diseases, 69(2), 485–500.

By: J. Galvis, C. Corzo*, J. Prada* & G. Machado*

author keywords: disease spread; disease surveillance; mechanistic modelling; PRRSV; swine; transmission dynamics
MeSH headings : Animals; Disease Outbreaks / prevention & control; Disease Outbreaks / veterinary; Farms; Female; Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome / epidemiology; Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome / prevention & control; Porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus; Swine; Swine Diseases; Vaccination / veterinary
TL;DR: A stochastic epidemiological model calibrated on weekly PRRSV outbreaks accounting for the population dynamics in different pig production phases, breeding herds, gilt development units, nurseries, and finisher farms, of three hog producer companies is developed, showing that intensifyingPRRSV detection and/or vaccination pigs at placement increased the effectiveness of all simulated vaccination strategies.
