Miguel Flores obtained his Ph.D. in Plant Biology at North Carolina State University in the laboratory of William F. Thompson, where he studied chromatin organization and DNA replication in Arabidopsis thaliana. Afterwards, he did his first post-doctoral studies at Michigan State University with Steve Van Nocker studying the epigenetic mechanisms that control flower development in apple (Malus domestica). more
