TL;DR: Lattice imaging of the ceramic coating and the direct attachment of bone to it provide evidence that the bone bonds chemically to the apatite, a most desirable implant material, and coating it on a metal substrate gives a strong, impact-resistant implant. (via Semantic Scholar)

Optical absorption of small copper particles and the optical properties of copper

TL;DR: The measured optical absorption of small copper particles in a silicate glass agrees closely with that calculated from measurements by Otter and Roberts of the optical properties of copper, in which they are corrected for the small size of the particles. (via Semantic Scholar)
