A new method to enhance the spatial resolution of multi-site electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) oximetry is described, based on consecutive applications of magnetic field gradients with the same direction but with a different magnitude and uses a convolution-based fitting algorithm to derive Lorentzian EPR linewidths of each individual peak of the EPR spectrum.

Using dc magnetization, ac susceptibility, specific heat, and neutron diffraction, this work has studied the magnetic properties of Mn[N(CN)2]2(pyz) (pyz = pyrazine) in detail and indicates that the exchange interaction is much stronger along the Mn-pyz-Mn chain axis than along themn-NCNCN-Mm axes, giving rise to a predominantly one-dimensional magnetic system.
