This work test deep neural networks (DNNs) in recognizing and differentiating very similar image patterns incurred in 3D SPT and shows that for high S/N images, both DNNs and conventional correlation coefficient-based method perform well, however, when theS/N drops close to 1, conventional methods completely fail while DNN's show strong resistance to both artificial and experimental noises.

Role of Vibrational Dynamics on Excited-State Electronic Coherence in a Binuclear Platinum Complex

The tert-butyl-substituted complex is studied using the Ehrenfest method for mixed quantum-classical dynamics to investigate the role of vibrational dynamics on a complex shown to support long coherence lifetimes, and results indicate that the inclusion of excited-state vibrations drives a rapid collapse of the two-state coherence prior to the experimentally determined intersystem crossing.
